Social Sport Registration - Semester 1 2024

Registrations for our social sport competitions are NOW OPEN to play in Semester 1. Sign up a team or as an individual to participate in 6-a-side soccer, touch football, netball and badminton. The cost of the competition includes all equipment, court/field hire and ANU Sport insurance cover.
Due to the social nature of these competitions ALL TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN REFEREE OR UMPIRE, this may be a substitute.
- It is expected that each team will officiate half of the game i.e., a representative from Team 1 umpires the first half and a representative from Team 2 umpires the second half.
This is a social competition.
- The referee and/or umpire must use their own discretion regarding team ability and knowledge of the game when making calls.
- Decisions must be made in a fair and consistent manner with player safety at the forefront.
6-A-SIDE SOCCER
This competition will run for 5 weeks (4 weeks of round games plus one week of finals). It will go from Week 8 until Week 12 of Semester 1.
Where: South Oval WK8, Willows Oval WK9, 10, 11, 12.
When: Monday Lunchtime (22 Apr, 29 Apr, 6 May, 13 May, 20 May)
Time: 12:00 – 2:00pm (games will run for 40 minutes, there may be two time slots depending on registration numbers)
Cost: Student Individual $7.50, Student Team $50, Non-Student Team $200.

TOUCH FOOTBALL
This competition will run for 5 weeks (4 weeks of round games plus one week of finals). It will go from Week 7 until Week 11 of Semester 1.
Where: Willows Oval
When: Friday Lunchtime (19 Apr, 26 Apr, 3 May, 10 May, 17 May)
Time: 2:00 – 3:30pm (games will run for 40 minutes, there may be two time slots depending on registration numbers)
Cost: Student Individual $7.50, Student Team $50, Non-Student Team $200.

NETBALL
This competition will run for 5 weeks (4 weeks of round games plus one week of finals). It will go from Week 2 until Week 6 of Semester 1.
Where: New Hall, ANU Sport
When: Thursday afternoon (29 Feb, 7 Mar, 14 Mar, 21 Mar, 28 Mar)
Time: 12:00 – 2:00pm (games are 45 minutes in duration – 4 x 10-minute quarters with 1-minute quarter time and a 2-minute half time)
Cost: Student Individual $7.50, Student Team $50, Non-Student Team $200.

BADMINTON
Badminton is run as a pick-up and come play style competition on Tuesday lunchtimes throughout Semester 1.
Where: Old Hall, ANU Sport
When: Tuesday Lunchtime (20 Feb, 27 Feb, 12 Mar, 19 Mar, 26 Mar, 23 Apr, 30 Apr, 7 May, 14 May, 21 May)
Time: 12:30 – 2:30pm
Cost: CBE Students: $0.00. Non-CBE students: $7.50
