The Australian National University Volleyball Club is a club for the promotion of the sport of volleyball for students, staff, graduates and affiliates of the ANU. In its current form it has been one of the leading clubs in the ACT and Canberra region in both on court performance and off court player and member development. The exact date for the establishment of the club is a bit hazy, but volleyball has been played at the ANU in some form or another since its inception in the 1950s. The club in recent years has had phenomenal success in both the ACT state league competition and at regional tournaments, with arguably the strongest player base of any of the six participating State League Clubs.
